Four years ago the peoples of Italy, Germany and Japan allied themselves in a common destiny—with their faith and with their joint forces—to free Europe and Asia from the centuries-old injustice of Anglo-Saxon imperialism. Today, in the decisive phase of the gigantic struggle for the world of yesterday and tomorrow, our peoples feel more united than ever in their supreme effort which will ensure the triumph of the Axis cause and which will give a just peace to all. On this historic anniversary, I express to you, Führer, the profound admiration of the authentic Italian people for the unsurpassable heroism of the German Armed Forces, their most sincere wishes and their unshakable certainty in final victory—a deserved reward for the immense sacrifices that our countries have endured in order to prepare a better future for their children and the world.
