Speech to the National Directorate of the Fascist Party, January 3, 1942

By Aldo Vidussoni

Duce!

The National Directorate gathers around you on a historical date, which reminds the Blackshirts of the great victory of your revolution. The enemy whom you then scattered sought refuge outside of Italy, under the protective wings of Freemasonry, Judaism and Bolshevism, and ever since then has harbored a vile hatred, awaiting the day for a possible revenge.

Today, after the most ignoble alliances, the enemy is standing against us. In Russia, in Cyrenaica, on land, on the sea and in the sky our glorious weapons are engaged in a tough battle without respite. Domestically, the people, aware of the struggle, which is for their life and for their future, tenaciously resist and firmly believe in you and in victory.

With this certainty and with this faith, the Party intensifies its work, multiplies its efforts and, above all, seeks to set an example in the spirit of sacrifice of its organizations, in the untiring work of its leaders, in the offering of blood of its hierarchs, 1,014 of whom have fallen and 1,114 of whom have been wounded. There were 8,680 volunteers among them; 960 have been decorated for military valour.

Duce!

I confirm to you that the exchange of orders has taken place as you wished: in a comradely fashion. In the Party's organization, nothing has stopped: everything is marching and will march according to your orders.

Our work program is this: to obey your command, to serve with all our strength, and, if necessary, with our blood, the cause of the Fascist revolution, for the supreme goal: victory!

Duce!

Give us the order!
